Taking care of your skin in spring is just as important as taking care of it in winter. When it comes to skincare throughout the year, you really only need to change it twice – with the exceptions of some small changes – as spring and summer go hand in hand, as does autumn and winter. Refreshing your skincare routine throughout different seasons is super important! Who needs to be wearing a thick moisturiser in 20-degree heat?!
We have put together a selection of products which we feel are our spring skincare essentials here’s at Sweet Cecily’s.
If you have seen our most recent blog ‘How can I take care of my skin in Spring?’ you will know how important it is to start exfoliating in the spring and summer months and our citrus and walnut body scrub is perfect to get you ready!
Our scrub has always been free from microbeads which, before they became banned, were very popular in the creation of body scrubs. A microbead is basically a tiny piece of plastic, so when people were using scrubs that contained them, one shower alone was sending thousands of bits of plastic down the drain, into the ocean, and sadly causing serious harm to marine life. Which is why at Sweet Cecily’s we are proud to say we have always used fine, crushed up walnuts in our Citrus & Walnut Body Scrub. Our scrub gently exfoliates and also does not and has not ever harming any marine life when it’s rinsed down the drain. Using the scrub once or twice a week helps to rub away any dead skin cells that are sat on your skin, allowing a glow like look to your body.
Not only does this toner embody the smell of spring with floral hints, but it gets you ready for no makeup days! As spring begins, we start to see drawn out, warmer days, which can often leave you without any makeup (if you wear it!) so having a good, locked down, spring and summer skincare routine is vital for continuing to hold a radiant glow on your face, without the help of foundation. After you have cleansed, give your face a quick spritz of this toner and let it do it all the work. High in Vitamin A and C, it is a quick and easy way to give your face a deep clean, great for gently removing any dirty and dead skin cells that may have been left behind after cleansing. Rose Water is also known for its anti-inflammatory properties, making it a perfect essential for most skin types.
We definitely say it’s an essential for springtime!
At Sweet Cecily’s we produce a light and fragrance-free daily moisturiser which soaks into and nourishes your skin easily, leaving your face feeling fresh and ready for the day. Jam packed with a range of ingredients such as shea butter, avocado and almond oil, our ingredients help maintain healthy and glow-looking skin.
