Tomorrow, Dorrie and I will be heading to Base Camp Middlesbrough for their Spring Market. As it is the day before Mother’s Day, it’s only right that the theme of the market is Bring Your Own Mam. We have been pretty excited about attending the market as both Sophie and Dorrie have visited similar events at Base Camp before and have really enjoyed them.

We have spent a good part of the week planning for the stall as it’s been a few years since Sweet Cecily’s made an appearance at a Market or Fair. If I’m honest, we have been planning as though we are going on a major holiday when you feel that it’s a must to take every item in your wardrobe. That’s what it’s been like but, with our products instead. Finding the balance between taking a couple of each product (which may sell out) or taking a fair few of each (then having too much) is a struggle. We have even measured out the table and laid out the products for how we want them tomorrow. Can you guess that we are perfectionists? But, I suppose as the saying goes “failing to prepare is preparing to fail”.

What’s going on?

You can find us at our stall from 11am – 4pm where we will have all the products from our Natural Skincare range on offer. This includes a selection of our gift boxes such as the Mother’s Day Treat Box and our new Queen Bee Lip Balm Set. Along with a selection of our approved Vegan and Vegetarian creams and lip balms. For those of you who like to try before you buy, we have a bunch of testers too!

We will be accepting both cash, card, and contactless payments.

As well as us, there will be some other fantastic small businesses offering quirky gifts, handmade jewellery, spell bottles, sweets and more. This is alongside some fun workshops like Salsa dancing and Tarot card reading. So there will be something for everyone, you can even treat your mum to a freshly polished set of nails by an in house nail tech.

Where is it?

The event is at Base Camp Middlesbrough, Exchange House, Exchange Square, Middlesbrough TS1 1DB.

So if you are in or around Middlesbrough on Saturday, pop by and say hello! We are really looking forward to seeing you all! Don’t forget to bring your mam and also your beloved pooch can come too as this event is entirely dog friendly!
